It is my heart desire and prayer to God that your visit to this website shall not be in vain. O that the Lord may work His wonder in you! There must be a conviction of sin leading you to ask 'what must I do to be saved?' and the Scriptures says to you that 'whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved' (Romans 10:13). The Lord is willing to make you a new creature now. You can learn a lot from this next Scriptures by applying it to yourself. 'Then said Jesus unto the twelve, will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God' (John 6:7-69). Think of this as though the Lord Jesus is asking you, will ye also go away? Consider your need of Him, for there is none other to go to.
Your problem is SIN...
Will the LORD be pleased with how good you think you are? Will He be pleased with how kind you are? Beloved, although it is good to be a kind person with good morals yet, God has declared that all have sinned and there is none that is righteous before Him. What then must you do to be saved? God hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee?
Repent ye, and believe the gospel! Believe in the LORD Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved.
Everything and everyone one else will fail you but, Christ saves and satisfies the soul.
This is the ultimate longing of your soul and nothing else will suffice.
Let nothing stop you from making this call to the LORD your God.
What must I do to be saved? The answer to this question as we see in Acts 16:30-33 has implications both now and for eternity. I will like to give you a Biblical example on how I got saved which can apply to everyone of us. It is written,"the entrance of God's Words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple." Now, I found myself in a desperate situation where I was trying to save my life from an attempted drug poisoning in the hands of a trusted friend. When every effort of mine to save my life failed me and also knowing clearly that I might be dead before the emergency people will arrive at my place. Suddenly, I heard a voice spoke unto me saying; "Call on Me" and without speculation, I knew that was the voice of God. Then I said, "Lord, if You save me, I will live for You and speak for You." What happened here is that when God spoke to me, it became clear to me that I was a sinner about to leave this world and head to Hell. What then? "I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto God's testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep His commandments." What commandments? God has commanded me to call unto Him and that I did in desperation. The Lord then wrapped me with His arms as a faithful Father and the result of that obedience led to my Salvation. This is why God ordained preaching because, "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."
Are there not many who have heard the Word of God preached to them and yet harden their heart and refused to repent? Of course there are many of them and I will give you a Biblical example here. "Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, Today if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts." After Paul have preached the Word of God to the ears of Felix, what was his response to the Word of God? It is written that "as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee." Is this not exactly what we were warned not to do? Upon hearing the Gospel preached to you, harden not your hearts says the Word of God. Yet, millions are doing this every day and I see them on the streets whenever I preach. Salvation is promised to them that will hear now and repent and believe the gospel. The guarantee is for Now and not for tomorrow! What saith the Scriptures? "For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."
Finally, "let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." We shall have no excuse before God because, "the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men." Don't waste your God's given grace! At the entrance of the Word of God, as you are convicted by the Holy Spirit, do not harden your heart but, humbly repent and believe the gospel. Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto Him, take away all iniquity, and receive me graciously (Scriptures taken from Psalm 119: 130, 59-60, Romans 10:17, Hebrews 3:7-8, 2 Corinthians 6, Isaiah 55:7, Titus 2:11, Hosea 14:2) and i can guarantee you that Christ will forgive and receive you as He did for me.
What saith the Scriptures? "As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:10, 23). Therefore, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon" (Isaiah 55:7). Verily verily, I say unto thee, "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3).
