Be very sure of this, you never reject the Bible because you cannot understand it because, you understand that it condemns your lifestyle, you understand that it witness against your sins, and summons you to judgement. Then, you try to believe that it is false and useless because you do not like to believe that it is TRUE.
Will the LORD be pleased with your ignorance? By no means! He hath shewed thee O man how ye ought to be saved! O sinner, Christ is calling you to come unto Him. He says, 'return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto Him, Take away my iniquity, and receive me graciously' (Hosea 14:1-2). O yes He will abundantly pardon you! Make no delay for He 'holds the keys of Hell and of Death' (Revelation 1:180)
I have come across so many people and sadly even some professing Christians challenged me to show them where Jesus talks about hell in the Gospels. In fact, Jesus talked about Hell more than anyone else in the Bible. In Luke 16:19-31, He describes Hell with great detail. Again, Jesus talked about hell more than He talked about Heaven, and He describes it more vividly. There’s no denying that Jesus knew, believed, and warned us about the absolute reality of Hell.
Christ describes Hell as a place of eternal torment (Luke 16:23), a place of an unquenchable fire (Mark 9:43), a place where the worm does not die (Mark 9:48), where people will gnash their teeth in anguish and regret (Matt. 13:42), and from which there is no return, even to warn loved ones (Luke 16:19–31). He calls Hell a place of “outer darkness” (Matt. 25:30), and went further to describe Hell as a place were God will "destroy both soul and body" (Matt. 10:28).
Jesus says to you, "Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." And He goes on to warn us about being "cast into Hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."
It is necessary for Jesus to talk about Hell because, it is the reason He came into this present evil world to save us from going there. Hell is the fate that awaits everyone of us because, Adam’s sin makes us guilty as charged and we all deserve God’s eternal punishment. Contrary to popular opinions of many people, Hell is not a place where God sends those who have been especially bad; Hell is our default destination. We need a Saviour to rescue us from this eternal damnation. So we’re left with two options: stay in our state of depravity and be eternally punished, or submit to the Lord Jesus and receive His gift of redemption.
We are inexcusable if we fail to see the goodness of God that ought to lead us to repentance. The one truth that compelled me to accept the justice of Hell is the indisputable certitude of the goodness of God. While the notion of Hell is difficult for many to grasp, a deep look into the Word of God and using the Bible as a mirror to see ourselves as we truly are in the sight of God, this I believe will convict us not to despise the riches of the goodness of God, His forbearance and longsuffering that ought to lead us to repentance.
Jesus is worthy of our complete trust. His ineffable love and goodness should cause us to look ultimately not to the threat of Hell, but to the amazing grace so sweet that the sound it can save any wretch by leading him home to the bosom of Christ.
To you my dear reader, this grace of God that bringeth salvation to all men will relieve any fear of Hell the very hour you first believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, "enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
"Hell has many gates, though Heaven has but one door" Charles Spurgeon
In the name of the God of heaven, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we bring you the message of the gospel as He has commanded us with the aim of converting you from the kingdom of Satan into the Kingdom of His dear Son. We leave it in these standing lines to change you by the power of the Holy Spirit or the same gospel will rise up in judgement against you, and to be a witness to your faces, that once you had a serious call to turn.
Now, hear all ye that are drudges of the world, and the servants of flesh and Satan: that spend your days in looking after prosperity on earth, and drown your consciences in drinking, and gluttony, and idleness, and foolish activities, and know that you are a sinner, and yet will continue in sin, as if you set God at defiance, and bid Him to do His worst.
Hearken, all ye that profess to be Christians, and have no heart to holy things, and you feel no need to reach your fellow mankind with the everlasting gospel that is able to save souls. To you that are careless of your immortal souls, and never separate yourself from the noise around you to consider carefully the Words written for your learning in the Bible. Oh he that has an ear to hear, let him hear the gracious and yet dreadful call of God!
The eyes of God are upon you and through your conscience, He pleads with you to consider your ways, to turn from your ways as David did in Psalm 51, to repent and believe the gospel before it is too late as we see in Luke 16:19-31. O sinner, there is no way you can escape from the judgement of God! Though you have freedom, yet you chose wrongly to continue in sin. Know that you have now and on many occasions been warned of the danger ahead!
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30). But still, we should come to Christ without delay because, there is no one else we should go to that has the Words of ETERNAL LIFE. Here is what was written by the eyewitnesses: "Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that Thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God" (John 6:68-69).
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
Then Simon Peter answered Jesus, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
....If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with Me.
He also said...
...."I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
